Sapphire will be holding Auditions for the 2009 Performance Season on August 23rd and September 13th at the Tuscawilla Youth
Center , located at 701 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala. They will be from 11:00am to 6:00pm.  Lunch and all drinks will be provided.

Everyone is required to audition on Flag and Dance. Flags will be provided, but we ask that you bring your sabre or rifle if you will be
auditioning for the weapons line.

Attire should be comfortable clothes that are form fitting, that allow you to move freely. Dance shoes are optional.

Sapphire welcomes all male and female colorguard performers, whether it be from another guard, marching band or drum corps. We
believe that if someone really has the desire and  determination to learn, perform and succeed you can become a successful
member of the Sapphire Family.

Sapphire's auditions run much like a regular season rehearsal. Equipment techniques and movement are taught and reviewed, as
well as equipment/movement combinations. Performers will be asked to perform audition pieces in ensemble and small groups.
Time will be allotted to conduct short interview sessions with everyone who attends auditions.


     
In accordance with FFCC and WGI Policy, Sapphire does not encourage performers who are still in High School and are or have
been enrolled in a COMPETITIVE Winterguard program to leave their High School Program. If you are in this situation, a Letter of
Release must be obtained before becoming a member of Sapphire.
