Sapphire Independent Winterguard

| Sapphire is an Independent "A" Class Winterguard, based in Ocala, Florida. We were founded in the fall of 2004 with the purpose of developing the growth, education and creativity of young adults in the North Central Florida Area through the art of pageantry. Winterguard is a sport. Performers utilize every available resource, from their bodies and the equipment they spin and manipulate, to the smiles on their faces, to create an atmosphere of excellence and inspiration in themselves and in the people that watch them perform. Sapphire is the closest winterguard to the University of Florida, Florida State University, Central Florida Community College and Santa Fe Community College. We are members of the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit (FFCC) and Winterguard International (WGI) Our staff and performers have many years of experience in both Marching Colorguard and Winterguard. We utilize practice facilities in the Ocala Area. During the 2006 Performance Season, Sapphire was honored to be the winner of the Kevin Paulus Memorial Sportsmanship Trophy presented by the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit.
